Ground was broken this morning with a large crowd on hand to watch and cheer on the process. The complex is being built on the Florida Southwestern State College campus. Broken up into phases the end result will have 32 USAPA outdoor courts, covered bleachers, concession with covered courtyard and a 40,000 sq foot building with 8 sanctioned courts, pro shop, restaurant and conference center available for community events. The size of the complex will put Punta Gorda on the map for tournament.
